The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives eligible students certain rights regarding their education records, including student financial accounts. In accordance with FERPA, a student’s account and payment information may only be provided to the student with the exception of Directory Information.

In compliance with FERPA, information classified as "directory information" may be released to the general public without the prior written consent of the student. Directory information includes:

Student name
Student address
Telephone listing
Major field(s) of study
Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
Weight and height of athletic team members
Dates of attendance/enrollment
Most recent previous education institution attended
Degrees and awards received
Photo/visual likeness
Official college-issued email address

You may review and update your privacy settings below. Your selection will remain valid until revoked or updated by you. If there is no request on file to restrict access, directory information will be released upon inquiry.

Please note that Collin College restricts access from other students viewing your directory information within Lifelong Learning Extended Education. Therefore if you select, "I want my directory information to be public" in the second set of options below, this restriction will not be overridden and will instead remain private.

Collin College acts in accordance with the Solomon Amendment, a federal law that mandates institutions receiving federal funding must abide to military recruitment requests for lists containing student recruiting information.
