Enhance your English speaking, reading, and writing skills by enrolling in a Collin College Continuing Education ESL course. Collin College offers a variety of courses to assist you in improving your language skills so you can excel in an English-speaking workforce.
We offer introductory, intermediate and advanced level courses to improve English-language learning and communication skills in the workplace. Courses include listening, speaking, reading, and writing at six different levels to help you become fluent and proficient in English. Daytime, afternoon and evening classes are offered every semester at multiple campuses, so enroll today. Our courses are organized to follow successful completion from one level to another.
Free Placement Testing
ESL Placement Testing assesses a student’s current level of language proficiency. After taking the test, the student meets with an advisor who provides course level recommendations. Students may then register in the recommended course levels. The placement test is free and recommended for all new students and open to currently enrolled students.
Students can register for the placement test online or by phone at 972-985-3711 specifying the 5-digit course registration number (CRN) of your course. Placement tests are only offered prior to the start of each semester. To find the CRN of your course see the class schedule page.
