Data Science Certificate Series

Build a career in this exploding new field by developing an understanding of data science concepts, including data lifecycle, cleaning, verifying, predictive analytics, modeling, and data visualization skills.

• Data Science – Introduction 
  Introduction to data science principles including terminology, workflow, and information communication.
• Data Science – Business Analytics 
  Exploration of skills, technologies, applications and processes for using data and statistics to gain business insight.
• Data Science – Programming 
  Explore data pull with SQL, manipulation with Python and R programming languages and creation of data visualizations.

To be eligible to receive a certificate, students must complete all 3 courses with 90% attendance. These courses may be taken in any order. 

Artificial Intelligence

• Introduction to AI ("Introduction to Computer Applications in Business")
  Introduction to AI basics using chatGPT with a focus on prompt formats and sharing prompt files with GitHub.
• Introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs)
  LLMs are the driving power of Generative AI text generation components. Applications include text translation, summaries, question response, and chatbots. Learn the fascinating history of LLMs, their working principles, and the real-world applications that are transforming industries.
• Applied Machine Learning
  Applying concepts to real-world representative data to get a broad understanding of Machine Learning. 

Virtual Reality

• Introduction to Virtual Reality ("Intermediate Programming Languages")
  Introduction to virtual reality platforms with the opportunity to work on a deliverable project. Demonstrate use cases for the metaverse and apply them to different industries. Hands-on learning with provided Meta Quest headsets.
