FTK 02SU25 – How to Thrift Like a Professional

The thrift sisters want to make you a thrift pro! If you’re someone who loves a good deal, the “thrill of the kill” shopping experience, and enjoys the comradery, join us for these fun-filled sessions.  Thrift stores are part of a $14.4 billion industry.  They are populated by people of all ages and both genders.  Who knows?  With your thrift pro training, you may be like the antique dealer in Austin who found the bust of a Roman soldier in her a local Goodwill. She purchased it for $35.00 and when the bust was authenticated, it was estimated to be well over several hundred thousand dollars. 

Even if you don’t find such a valuable antiquity, we are pretty sure some great finds are in your future!

Diane Laino Novembrino, B.A. in English, M.Ed. in Reading, K-adult, certifications in Human Resources and Training. Diane has held HR, Training and Marketing positions in several retail companies.  Currently, she has joined the growing and very popular thrift shopping trend.  She and her “thrifting sister”, Carol, want to share their experience and enthusiasm for this trend with you! So, join us and let’s go thrifting.

Carol Herman Wertheimer is a long-term thrifter and bargain hunter with experience in both wholesale & retail fashion. She loves the hunt as much as adding to her wardrobe. Her YouTube channel, Fashionista At 80, encourages women of a certain age to present themselves in a positive way, without spending a ton of money, so that they can be seen and heard. Thrifting can be a wonderful distraction filled with laughter & fun. So happy to share my passion for fashion with all of you. I also thrift for home decor, vintage & collectibles.
