Course Description
Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency.

The Tactical Paramedic Continuing Education course is a comprehensive advanced level medical course that will prepare the student to function as a competent medical provider in the SWAT or SRT environment.
The course is physically demanding, and all candidates will be required to pass the Cooper Standard physical ability test on the first day. Candidates who do not meet the standard for their age/gender will receive course participation recognition in lieu of course completion. The average day will have classroom and scenario components. Students will be given one hour for lunch and are strongly encouraged to bring their lunch each day. The following is a recommended list of equipment:
- Plate carrier with ballistic plates with standard pouches for your agency/team
- Ballistic helmet (recommended not required) Bump Helmet Required
- Individual First-Aid Kit (IFAK)
- Clothing suitable for tactical movement
- Boots
- Hydration
- Gas Mask
- Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
Under no circumstances are students to bring firearms/ammunition or edged weapons to this course.**
**Sworn peace officer may possess their sidearm unless the class is in scenario or any other sterile environment.
