Great American Short Stories Discussion Group

We will discuss ten readings from 100 Years of the Best American Short Stories, a volume of forty stories selected from more than 2000 that have been published in The Best American Short Stories’ series.  This is the longest-running and best-selling series of short fiction in the country.

Our selection includes works from 1986-93 by Richard Ford, Robert Stone, David Wong Louie, Alice Munro, and Mary Gaitskill.  100 Years of the Best American Short Stories (2015) is edited by Lorrie Moore and Heidi Pitlor and is available online. Five meetings: (9/16, 9/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/11)
