Introduction to Roman Engineering (ONLINE)

When it comes to grand engineering projects of the ancient world, the Romans arguably top the list. Many of their opera publica are still standing today, so are still in use (such as the Apian Way). Their concrete was in many ways, superior to current day concrete, again evidenced by their roads, buildings, and aqueducts still standing after 2000 years. Their engineering prowess is one of the reasons for how the Romans were able to effectively control such a wide spread empire. Come join us to find out why it is said that for the ancient Romans “the shovel was mightier than the sword”
