Course Description

Keeping the Republic

For 238 years, the U.S. has been in Benjamin Franklin's words, "Keeping the Republic." This course will examine what “keeping the republic” means by looking at the three branches of American government. We will start by looking at what the writers of the Constitution intended for each branch. Then we will look at how each branch evolved and where the branches are in 2025 as we approach the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
