Course Description

Introduction to Ukulele (No class 3/17)

Join us in a beginner Ukulele course designed to help you learn chords and strumming patterns.  In the process you will meet new friends and have fun playing music.  We will start with beginner songs to develop your abilities to create a good sound, to blend in with others or by yourself.

Learn how to tune your instrument and keep it clean. You will be able to identify the parts of the Ukulele and proper body posture while holding and playing.

Eugene Marcotte enjoys playing music, singing in choirs, and playing guitar in Ensembles.  He enjoys helping others to play the Ukulele, play music and learn how to care for their instrument.  Eugene retired from the Air Force after 20 years then earned his Airframe and Power Plant Aviation Certificate. He has also worked for a large aviation manufacturer and retired from this company after 18 years.
