Course Description

Have you ever wanted to tell your family and friends your stories?  This course provides an introduction to personal narrative and memoir writing, with a focus on writing down and preserving important memories for family members and future generations.  We’ll cover choosing specific memories or experiences to write about, adding engaging detail, and using editing tools.

Dr. Alaya Swann is an English professor at Collin College.  She loves helping people find their voices in writing!  She has two small children, two cats, and nine chickens.
