Course Description

This course features discussion of five readings from 100 Years of the Best American Short Stories: a volume of forty stories selected from more than 2000 that have been published in The Best American Short Stories series. This is the longest-running and best-selling series of short fiction in the country. Our selection includes works from 2004-2006 by Sherman Alexie, Edward P. Jones, Benjamin Percy, and Tobias Wolf. 100 Years of the Best American Short Stories (2015) is edited by Lorrie Moore and Heidi Pitlor, and is available online.

Section Notes

This section will be delivered online with no on-campus activity requirements.
