Course Description

This course examines the lives and achievements of two pioneering scientists, Marie Curie and Mary Leakey. Participants will explore Curie’s groundbreaking discoveries in radioactivity, her role in the dawn of the Atomic Age, and her achievement of winning two Nobel Prizes. The course also follows Leakey’s path from an unconventional upbringing to her influential work in paleoanthropology alongside Louis Leakey, which transformed our understanding of human origins.
