Course Description

This course highlights the achievements of two remarkable African American groups during World War II. Participants will learn about the Tuskegee Airmen, the first Black aviators in the U.S. military who overcame racial barriers while serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, and the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only all-African American, all-female unit deployed overseas during the war. The course explores their contributions, challenges, and lasting historical significance.

This section will be delivered online with no on-campus activity requirements.
