Course Description

Stretching from the Great Lakes to the Pacific Ocean, the 2,400 miles of Route 66 is an asphalt ribbon road that has recorded the dreams and nightmares of the American people.  This presentation will use songs, film, literature, and television to hit play on the story of America’s “Mother Road.”

Head out to our beautiful Celina campus and after class explore the Celina area!

Brett Adams has a Master’s Degree from the University of Tulsa and has been teaching history at Collin College since 2004.  His areas of study are mostly the American West and The Progressive Era.  Brett has been presenting SAIL lectures for about 6 years.
