Course Description

What happened to looted treasures, hidden and confiscated libraries, and dispersed families?  What could be recovered?  Who searched? What was restored? WWII resulted in lost valuables, lost people, and lost artifacts.  Films and historical background presentations follow the trails of those desperately seeking recovery, reconnection, and restitution.  The spirit of treasure hunters meets the longing for closure.

Dr. Janet Harris has taught literature and writing for over twenty-five years, coached readers and writers in pursuing their personal goals, and reviewed books.  As an editor, Dr. Harris has guided writers in publishing over 150 books.  She teaches literature and creative writing and advises SMU graduate students in completing theses and dissertations. She has retired several times, the first from UT-Dallas.
