Course Description

General discussion of pathologies as they relate to massage therapy. Includes universal precautions and their management in professional practice. Also covers etiology, signs, symptoms, and the physiological and psychological reactions to disease and injury. Additionally, a continuation of advanced-level therapeutic massage skills, medical assessments, and medical documentation techniques will be discussed, and practiced. Emphasis will also be placed on the selection of medical-grade equipment, and modalities used to treat various pathologies. Prerequisite: MSSG 1013
