Course Description

The Barbering for Cosmetologists course is designed for licensed Cosmetologists seeking to expand their skills and career opportunities by earning a Barbering for Cosmetologists certificate. This course bridges the gap between cosmetology and barbering, focusing on men’s haircutting techniques, fades, tapers, safety-razor shaves, beard design, clipper-over-comb methods, express facials, and waxing for men. Students will gain hands-on experience with traditional and modern barbering styles while deepening their understanding of sanitation, state laws, and professional safety standards. Prerequisite: Active TDLR license in Cosmetology or Barbering.
