Course Description

In-depth coverage of the structure and function of the human body. Includes cell structure and function, tissues, body organization, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. Emphasizes homeostasis/wellness care. Meets the minimum 75-contact-hour requirement for Anatomy and Physiology for licensure. Additionally, there will be a medical emphasis placed on unhealthy functions of the body associated with various muscle diseases, and disorders. An overview of how therapeutic massage can assist in improving these conditions will be discussed, and practiced.
